Customize the overlay: size, pill, Ghost Mode

The overlay is the whole interface while you record, so it should sit exactly where — and how — you want it. Every visual below is the real overlay running live in this page, not a screenshot.

5 steps · about 3 min

01

Start from the full card

The default layout is a compact card: timer, pause/stop, snip button and the live timeline strip. It floats always-on-top, so it stays reachable over whatever you’re recording. Drag it anywhere; it remembers its spot.

The real overlay, recording — watch the timer run.

02

Shrink to a slim pill when you want less

Switch to the horizontal pill from Settings → Overlay layout, or with Ctrl+Alt+M. Same controls, a fraction of the footprint — it tucks along a screen edge while you present.

The pill layout — the same recorder, tucked out of the way.

03

Resize it to taste

Three ways, all live: the Overlay size slider in Settings, the Ctrl+Alt+= / Ctrl+Alt+−hotkeys, or dragging the grip on the overlay’s bottom-right corner (double-click the grip to snap back to 100%). Scale runs from 75% to 200%.
04

Go invisible with Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode keeps the overlay on your screen but out of the recording and out of screen shares. Pair it with the frosted glass look and click-through (Ctrl+Alt+G) and it hovers quietly over your work without ever appearing in the file.

Ghost Mode with the glass look — this is what you see; your recording sees nothing.

05

Pick which controls it shows

Settings → Overlay controls lets you compose the overlay from parts — keep just the timer and snip button, or the full set with mic and camera controls. Every action also has a global hotkey, so a minimal overlay loses nothing.

Try all of it right now

The live demo on the homepage is the complete app — open it fullscreen, head to Settings, and play with the layout, size and Ghost Mode exactly as you would on your desktop.

Try it before you buy it

The complete app runs as a live demo in your browser — walk the whole workflow first, then pay once and own it.
